Hi everyone, I just wanted to share a little more about my fitness journey and how I ended up becoming a certified personal trainer and nutritionist… and why I teach the way I do today.
I’ve struggled with my body for as long as I can remember. Even in my late teens, I never really felt comfortable in my clothes. I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror, and whether I admitted it or not, it affected my confidence.
So like a lot of people, I started working out. My goal wasn’t crazy, I didn’t want to be extreme or become obsessed. I just wanted to feel good about myself.
But if you’ve ever tried to change your body, you know it’s not always that simple.
I was working hard in the gym. Really hard. And I still felt stuck. I kept thinking, “Why isn’t this working?” That frustration is actually what pushed me to start learning more. I began asking questions, studying nutrition, understanding movement, and figuring out how the body actually responds to stress, hormones, and different types of training.
Over time, and honestly after a lot of trial and error, things started to make sense. And when they did, my results improved. Not because I trained harder… but because I trained smarter.
That process is what led me to coaching.
I know what it feels like to not be comfortable in your own skin. And even though I don’t experience the world the way women do, I’ve seen how deeply that feeling can affect so many of you. It’s not just physical, it’s emotional.
When I first started coaching online, I noticed most of the people connecting with my message were women. At first I didn’t overthink it. But the more conversations I had, the more I realized something important:
A lot of women don’t need more intensity.
They need someone who understands how their hormones, stress levels, sleep, and life responsibilities affect their results. And they need to feel supported as well
Over the last 6 years, I’ve really dedicated myself to understanding the female body better, hormones, stress, metabolism, core strength, postpartum recovery, mobility… all of it.
Supporting my wife through pregnancy and postpartum was a big turning point for me too. Walking through diastasis recti with her and seeing how important deep core work and patience really are changed the way I program workouts.
That’s a big reason I teach Pilates-inspired training now.
I don’t believe most women need more jumping, more pounding, or more punishment.
What I’ve seen over and over again is this, when you build deep core strength, when you improve posture, when you move with control and intention… your body responds. You feel stronger. More confident. More connected. And the physical results follow.
One thing I truly admire about women as well is your dedication. When you decide you’re ready, you show up. And that’s something I respect deeply.
I’m still on my own journey too. Becoming a husband and a dad shifted my priorities. Balancing family, work, and taking care of yourself without guilt is real. That’s actually why my workouts changed, they have to fit into real life. They have to be sustainable. They have to support you, not drain you.
Because fitness shouldn’t feel like another stressor.
Whatever season you’re in right now, you’re not behind. And if what used to work for you doesn’t work anymore, that doesn’t mean you failed, it just means your life changed.
That’s exactly why I’ve built my programs the way I have, quick, low-impact, intentional workouts that fit into your lifestyle and actually help you feel strong again.
I appreciate every single one of you who’s here. Truly.
And if you’re on this journey too, just know, you’re not alone. 💛
